Personal growth

Be positive. No matter what you have, where you are, or who you're with, your perception of your circumstances is more important than the circumstances themselves.

Each and every person that has ever lived has had to face obstacles. They are a part of life. We can however choose how we react to them.

There are opportunities out there even if we can't see them yet.  Experience all the joys and pains. See pain as proof of life too.  Revere life. Enjoy the journey.

Keep on creating

Chaos exists in all things. There is order even in the disorder. Chaos is opportunity to create. Life is a dance. Everything changes, Change is everywhere and nothing remains the same. If you want something different than explore. Deliberate behavior will have the greatest effect than reacting to a situation. Everything is possible and we learn a different way of doing. Chaos provides that space to explore and allows us to take a step of action to be more creative. Therefore, something changes and we see differently.

The spirit in which you act

Not one thing is more significant than another. Take control of You and how You participate. You are constantly adding to life. Pay attention to your purpose and intention. Participate with a future you want  instead of thinking on how it is supposed to be.  There are 3 steps in every moment:

1) Awareness
2) Choices
3) Action

A thought for the day: Pay attention to what you are paying attention too.

Obstacles in our path

As we move forward in life and attempt to reach our goals, it is likely that we are going to come across a number of obstacles. Each and every person that has ever lived has had to face obstacles.

They are a part of life. We can however choose how we react to them
I know what you might be thinking. You might believe that with less problems your life would be easier. Perhaps. Better? No. I believe that in most cases in life, people don’t really want easier, they want better. They want to have more.

Often we’re discouraged because of some tough challenge or obstacle in our way. But a shift in mindset can change everything: Life presents us with a wide array of opportunities. It is not about preventing obstacles, but rather, how we can overcome them. When you allow these obstacles to control your life, they have the effect of sabotaging your efforts at changing your life in a positive way. Even worse, you feel stuck, frustrated, and helpless to change your lot in life.

Don't let your fears consume you — meet life head on...

Embrace the unknown and flow with the mystery that is unfolding in your life. Take life into your hands. Respond to life instead of reacting. Be committed and take steps toward the future. It is not what you do but the emotions behind it. When you pay attention to participating, you are in control.

It is my hope that you will unlock something within yourself that propels you to become the great person you were always meant to be. There is always a point of self-discovery, a point of greater clarity and a point of newness. It is wondrous. Be open and receptive.

Thought for the day:

Someone very wise said: “Nothing is impossible, so dwell in infinite possibilities.”

Health central

Food for thought: Who do you have on your “team” in life?

I know that I would be a mess without certain people: my friends, my family, my coworkers, just to name a few. Of course I need them for practical, everyday things, but I also need them for emotional support. When I have a bad day or I feel frustrated with how things are going, they are there to pull me out of the slump.  When I feel good and life is going my way, they are there to celebrate with me.

Today, I would like to share a fun story about the power of teamwork.  There is an old fable of “Old Warwick” which represents this “thought”… An excerpt from Chapter 14 of Change is Good…You Go First: This story originally appeared in the play Some Folks Feel the Rain. I hope you enjoy it:

“A man was lost while driving through the country. As he tried to reach for the map, he accidentally drove off the road into a ditch. Though he wasn't injured, his car was stuck deep in the mud. So the man walked to a nearby farm to ask for help.

"Warwick can get you out of that ditch," said the farmer, pointing to an old mule standing in a field. The man looked at the decrepit old mule and looked at the farmer who just stood there repeating, "Yep, old Warwick can do the job." The man figured he had nothing to lose. The two men and the mule made their way back to the ditch. The farmer hitched the mule to the car. With a snap of the reins he shouted:

"Pull, Fred! Pull, Jack! Pull, Ted! Pull, Warwick!"

And the mule pulled that car right out of the ditch.

The man was amazed. He thanked the farmer, patted the mule, and asked, "Why did you call out all of those names before you called Warwick?"

The farmer grinned and said, "Old Warwick is just about blind. As long as he believes he’s part of a team, he doesn't mind pulling."

It is truly amazing how powerful teamwork can be. The lesson here is pretty clear, we all feel more powerful if we believe we are working with those around us for a common goal. I think the less obvious, and maybe more important message for some people is for us to cooperate, trying our best in any circumstance despite any personal conflict between individuals.
